Snow Angel Nannies
If your looking for the finest pizzeria in the alps, then head down to Pinoccio's in Alpe D'Huez!. It's a small family run restaurant, with a great child friendly ambiance!. It's small and cosy, but has lots of character, with a slightly larger room upstairs for bigger parties!.
The food is faultless, and has an exciting menu to choose from, from french cuisine to fine Italian dishes, they do offer smaller portions for children, and can adapt certain dishes for your personal preference. The seating is nicely arranged, where you can watch the chefs hard at work whilst you enjoy some exquisite French wine!.
The staff are friendly, helpful and Also speak good English, if you are struggling with the language barrier!!.
Price wise, it was all pretty reasonable, and the service was fab!. On the whole my experience was rather pleasant, and I would highly recommend trying it out, for a mid-week dinner or two!!.

The Battle of Boxhill
Ryker pushes thoughts of personal safety to one side and embarks on a journey of discovery. He must unite the oppressed birds in the forest so that they will rise up and help save his family from the evil gamekeeper and his enforcer, Dillon, a raven with a mean streak and foul temper. But Ryker is young and inexperienced in the ways of the world and he doesn’t yet know who to trust…
This is a beautifully written and engaging children’s story that will appeal to readers of all ages. It’s packed with non-stop action, fascinating characters and so much excitement that it will delight, surprise and enthral in equal measure.

YOUR FAMILY SKI HOLIDAY 2012
YOUR FAMILY SKI HOLIDAY 2012
Winter ski breaks are fantastic fun. Large groups of friends are obviously going to have a great time, but winter sports holidays are great for families too – always providing the childcare is right. It is so good to get the children started on their skis when they are young, and the whole experience with its fresh mountain air, wonderful views and cheery atmosphere will leave them with lasting happy memories.
Many resorts now offer excellent, reliable, experienced childcare for children of all ages, even those too young to ski, leaving parents free to enjoy the slopes with complete peace of mind. A happy child makes for a happy parent!
Choosing your resort can be challenging. You need to consider the ski terrain, prices, transfers, childcare facilities, après ski, accommodation … France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy – each has its own charms and within each country each resort is different.
This article will focus on France, and on some great resorts which have particular attractions for families seeking good quality reliable childcare. Les Deux ALpes, Alp d’Huez, Meribel, Courcheval, Tignes and La Tania all offer great skiing, with a huge range of chalet, hotel and apartment accommodation on offer. You can choose from an all inclusive hotel, half board, staffed chalet, or self-catering. All have easy access to the slopes, indeed from some accommodation you can ski straight from the door! French food lives up to its reputation and you will be spoilt for choice with so many restaurants to choose from.
Many French resorts offer a range of childcare services. Snow Angel nannies, which operates in the resorts named above, provides an efficient, reliable, friendly service adapted to each family’s specific needs. Their nannies are all qualified, experienced, CRB checked, and trained in first aid. They will look after children from three months of age, coming to your hotel, chalet or apartment in the mornings so that you can get out on the slopes stress free. The nanny will ensure your child or children have a fun time, with lots of activities both inside and also out enjoying the snow. Evening childcare is also offered, enabling you to have a few drinks in peace while your children are tucked up safely in the capable care of the nanny.
If your children are old enough to ski, all of these resorts have a range of ski schools to choose from, all offering private, group or family group lessons. ESF are in all the resorts of course, but there are other choices such as E2, or the European Ski School, and St Christophe in Les Deux ALpes. Alexandra, who runs Snow Angel Nannies, is an instructor with the European Ski Scchool. Your nanny can drop the children off at ski school and be there to meet them after the lesson, and she will make sure they turn up for their lesson with hat, gloves, helmet, etc, relieving you of the hassle factor!
Restaurant reviews

I ordered a lasagne and salad and could not fault the food that was very tasty.
Overall the restaurant was central, with a good friendly atmosphere providing good quality food, with good size portions. The restaurant also was very clean and attractive environment.

Welcomes Gayna to the team
Hello, Im Gaynor, and I am 21 years of age and come from sunny South Shields near Newcastle. I am kind and considerate and I also believe myself to be a very reliable and trustworthy young lady. I hope I can be a big help in providing childcare services for Snow Angel Nannies whilst your away enjoying the beautiful scenes in France. This is my first season away in the Alps and I’m looking forward too spending it with lots of confidence in looking after your families and making sure they are having an amazing time while you are enjoying your holiday and the spectacular scenes at the same time.
I absolutely love working with children doing in and outdoor activities and encouraging them as much as possible to join in all the ‘fun’ we’ll be having. I have lots of experience in working with children from a very small age by working in a Creche, to working in a Primary School and also being the leader of a Children’s After School Club and Holiday Club. I also have 2 nieces and 3 nephews which keep me constantly on my toes.
I can assure all parents that my main priorities will be that I will provide a safe environment for their children, ensure that all equipment needed will be safe and age appropriate, making sure they are happy at all times and well looked after and also so they are having lots and lots of FUN! Hopefully this will encourage you as a parent too have a worry-free, relaxed and much enjoyable holiday! I look forward in meeting you.

Welcoem Trisha back onto the team
My name is Trisha, I am 25 and have been working with children for 6 years within a day nursery in
I enjoy working with all ages of children and providing them with the chance to express themselves and enjoy there time as children. I find there is always something fun and interesting to learn from each age range of children. I love meeting new children and getting to no there individual characters and see there enjoyment on there faces when they have achieved something new and are enjoying the activities which they are taking part in.
During my time in the nursery I worked with the children from as young as 6 months to children of 4 years whom are ready to go off to school. During this time I also worked on my day off as a nanny for 2 children. Where I had to plan daily activities for the children and would take them swimming, to the play park, have picnics and there favourite thing was to build dens outdoors and indoors were they could play and have snacks. I found this as exciting as the children building our own imaginative story as to why we were hiding in the den this was often anything from being cave people and hiding from dinosaurs to a tea party with there other dolls and teddies.
I really enjoy working with children and to see the excitement on the faces when really enjoying an activity, be that painting, drawing, cooking activities or being outdoors exploring and just having as much fun as possible.
I am really looking forward to spending time in the snow, building snowmen, sledging with the children and having over all fun time with the children this season. I am sure we will all have a great time in the snow and look forward to meeting a few of you.
Welcomes Claire to the team
Hello my name is Claire; I am 25 years old from Hastings, East Sussex. I have worked with children since attending college studying for my NVQ level 2: childcare and education. After completing my NVQ level 2 I gained a job in a nursery working with children from 0-5 years. I was a key worker in the nursery working with the pre-school age children and then moving onto being a key worker for the under 2’s in crèche. During this time I was doing my NVQ level 3 early years childcare and education I did this qualification as an apprenticeship. I gained 6 years’ experience working with children during my time at the nursery.
After completing my NVQ level 3 in childcare and education I had taken an interest in travel and decided to apply for a job with first choice, I then attended further training and was employed as an activities instructor and travelled to do a summer session In Spain where I worked mainly with the younger children in the crèche from the age of 11 weeks – 3 years, and the 3-5 year olds, I also had experience in the other age groups up to the age of 11 years. I gained experience of parent and toddler sessions where I really enjoyed getting to know the families and the children.
I enjoy my job in childcare and providing quality activities seeing the results through the children’s enjoyment. And will provide a safe, child centred, learning environment with the children in my care.

"Many thanks for the email. Our ‘Angels’ did a great job for us and the kids last year in Meribel, but alas in February we will be heading off to Canada rather than the Alps.
We would have had no hesitation booking with you again in the future and would highly recommend your agency to our friends.
Hope you have a good season."
