My name is Lucia Borraccino and I am 27 years old and for the past two years I have been running my own company 'Nanny Network' which I set up with no funding and no business experience while I was working as a Nanny.  We connect parents with local childcare and offer a wide range of services from Babysitting to Nannying in London.

Our service is quite different to what is currently available - we offer a very personal and friendly service which is quite a different approach to that of out competitors as we realise that parents need to feel comfortable and supported throughout the process of finding a Nanny especially for first time parents who can be quite nervous. 

I worked previously as a Nanny and so I understand very well that for parents, the right choice of child care is one of the most critical decisions they make. In my role as a Nanny I was there to support the children but inevitably I became a trusted friend to the parents.   I offer this very personal but professional approach to parents because I understand how important the decision is to take on a Nanny to bring up your children and who will work so closely within your home.  For this reason we meet, interview, select and check the references of every Nanny who makes it on to our books and we are very honest with parents about their Nanny choice.   

We have a wide range of Nannies on our books - each with individual talents and we try to match these according to a family's needs for example Nannies who are musical, artistic, sporty or bilingual if this is required by the family.  Employing a Nanny is a very important step and it allows women to continue with their careers after taking a break to have a child.
