Here is a list of snow gear to bring with you on your skiing holiday!

For the Adults

Ski jacket
ski trousers – Salopettes
Thermals layers – good quality ones.
Fleeces
A down jacket or puffa jacket to go under your ski jacket – this is usually only worn if it’s really cold!
Ski gloves
Inner gloves - for when it’s really cold
Goggles – for when it’s snowing
Sunglasses
Helmet
Wrist guards - if you are snowboarding
Warm hat
Neck warmer
Balaclava – again for when it’s really cold
Ski socks – socks designed for skiing, these are much better than thick socks!
Suntan cream
Lip balm – a sun protection one
Water proof snow boots.
Heat pads – plastic ones or disposable ones
A small ruck sack
Mobile phone – you can get a tracking app (if you have a smart phone) and track where you ski.

You will be able to hire ski’s, ski boots, snowboards and snow board boots out here.

For the children

Same as above

Young children sometimes where snow onesies, which can keep them warmer.

A small rucksack- which they can carry a few things in.

Gloves can keep falling off when children are playing in the snow, so try to buy ones that are well elasticated at the wrist. A good tip is to attach a string that is long enough to go through the arms of the jacket and across the back of the child, which is then attached to each glove. This prevents them from falling off and the child losing them.

A buggy that can be pushed around in the snow if you have a young child.

Sledges and children’s helmets can be hired in most ski shops.
